IBD Activities in Montreal
To underline the International Day for Biological Diversity, the RCEN with the Regroupement national des conseils régionaux de l'environnement du Québec (RNCREQ) are organizing activities at the Jardin Botanique de Montréal, during the Great Gardening Weekend held from May 23rd to May 25th.
Planned Activities
In promoting this year's biodiversity theme, Biodiversity and Agriculture, activities include animated stands in collaboration with the Ferme de Bullion, Union Paysanne, Union des producteurs agricoles, Seeds of Diversity; with take-home documentation, a seed exchange, the option to buy seeds and tomato plants of heirloom or non-hybrid varieties, and to interact with experts in the field.
In addition, the RCEN and RNCREQ will hold a screening of 9 films on biodiversity; and finally, to get your mouths watering, with the assistance of Crudessence catering service, on noon Saturday a sampling of local and organic raw treats will be available to the public.
