flowerENGO Participation in a Chemicals Management Plan Workshop at the RCEN 2010 Conference

With the support of Health Canada, the RCEN is seeking seven ENGO delegates (four from Quebec and three from the rest of Canada) to participate in the RCEN Conference on the Environment, taking place from September 17-19, 2010 in Montreal. Selected delegates will be expected to participate fully in a two-hour Chemicals Management Plan (CMP) Workshop scheduled for Saturday, September 18th. The perspectives gathered during the workshop will be compiled into a consolidated report on deliberations and recommendations stemming from the CMP Workshop. Travel and accommodation (if applicable) and the RCEN Conference registration fee will be covered for all seven delegates. The deadline to apply is September 6th. More information

ENGO Delegate for the 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity

 

Through support from Environment Canada, the RCEN is seeking one ENGO delegate to participate in the Tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP-10) to be held in Nagoya, Japan, from October 18-29, 2010. Strategic Issues for Evaluating Progress and Supporting Implementation of the Convention will be considered at the meeting. The RCEN-selected ENGO delegate will participate in the COP-10 side event co-hosted by the RCEN and Environment Canada entitled “Friends of The CBD: A Multistakeholder Participatory Model” and may also be asked to participate in the official Canadian delegation to COP-10.
