PEI Consultations “GE Free Zone” – Extended
Deadline: February 15, 2005
Prince Edward Island's Legislative Assembly's Standing Committee
on Agriculture, Forestry and Environment has announced its plans
to hold hearings to examine the issues around a potential decision
to declare PEI a genetic engeneering (GE) free zone. To that end,
the committee members have issued an invitation to those interested
in presenting arguments for or against a PEI ban on GE foods.
The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, February 15, 2005.
