Help Protect Ontario’s Algonquin Park, CPAWS Wildlands League |
The Wildlands League, a chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, is inviting ENGOs and individuals to help protect Ontario’s Algonquin Park, which is home to over 5,000 unique species of plants and animals. According to the Wildlands League, “a staggering 77% of Algonquin Park is open to logging.” Currently, a government report has recommended the protection of an additional 2,500 square kilometres from the impacts of logging. The Wildlands League is asking concerned individuals and ENGOs to help turn these recommendations into a reality by sending an e-mail in support of the report.
To help protect Algonquin Park, visit the Wildlands League website. |
