EPA Caucus 2010 Review Accomplishments

In 2009-2010, the EPA Caucus completed a contract with CEAA to author two discussion papers on EA and to organize an EA workshop in Ottawa in conjunction with the EPA Caucus spring meeting.

• March 12th EA Workshop on Interjurisdictional Coordination of EA Report
• Discussion Document on Improving the Effectiveness of Environmental Assessment in Addressing Federal Environmental Priorities
• Inter-jurisdictional coordination of environmental assessment: challenges and opportunities arising from differences among provincial assessment requirements and processes

In 2008-2009, the EPA Caucus completed a contract with CEAA to engage the public in the upcoming Seven-Year Review of the Act for 2010. Funding was received, and the following work was completed to help raise public awareness and increase involvement in the Review.
