Canadian Standards Board Management Committee

The Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) has an opening for an ENGO representative to sit on its Management Committee. The Committee shall be drawn from the private and public sectors and each member must possess specific industry expertise and/or expertise relevant to quality and environmental management system work. The ideal candidate has a good background in environmental issues, an open attitude, represents a major, national ENGO and has no conflict of interest. Some knowledge of ISO 14001 would be an asset. The successful candidate must sign a confidentiality agreement.

The delegate is expected to hold the position for several years. The work requires about eight hours of preparation for an annual management committee meeting, which usually lasts about six hours. Typically it is held in May.

Membership on the Committee shall be voluntary without remuneration. Members shall be reimbursed for expenses incurred in attending Committee meetings or performing other services at the request or on behalf of CGSB. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered.
