National Framework on Petroleum Refinery Emissions
(NFPRE)
At the request of the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute
(CPPI), the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment is
coordinating the NFPRER's development of principles and methods
for various jurisdictions to establish facility emissions caps
for key air pollutants and air toxics from petroleum refineries.
ENGO
delegates involved in the process are cautiously optimistic
that the process will lead to improved environmental policy and
a net reduction in facility emissions.
Environment Canada, in cooperation with the Canadian Council
of Ministers of the Environment, is hosting a two day workshop
scheduled for Ottawa February 25-26, 2004. For more information

for Delegates.
