Organizing Committee, ENGO-DFO Joint Workshop on Fish Habitat
When: Leading up to the November 2007 National Workshop

The Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) selected two (2) ENGO representatives to participate in the Organizing Committee for a joint ENGO-DFO Workshop on Fish Habitat. This workshop was proposed as the result of a meeting of the RCEN-DFO National Fish Habitat Coordinating Committee (NFHCC) on Feb. 23, 2007.
The selected ENGO delegates were:
The Organizing Committee also included Susanna Fuller of the Ecology Action Center and a DFO representative, both of whom are members of the ENGO-DFO National Fish Habitat Coordinating Committee. The two-day workshop was held in fall 2007.
The goals of the workshop were:
- To improve ENGO understanding of how science is used in DFO decision making;
- To identify research priorities for DFO Centers of Expertise;
- To explore the science basis of DFO Risk Management approaches.
