Fourth Regular Session in 2006 of the Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC)

The Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) selected one (1) ENGO delegate, Bruce Hyer from Environment North (Thunder Bay, Ontario), to take part in the fourth Regular Session of the Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) for 2006, taking place on 7-8 November 2006 in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The main objective of this session is to better understand the challenges and opportunities for conservation within the context of trade and environment links between Canada, the United States and Mexico.Bruce Hyer can be contacted at forests@tbaytel.net.

Selection Criteria  

  • Knowledge and expertise of the issues to be discussed;
  • Connection with ENGO organizations working on the issues;
  • Experience with international meetings or processes;
  • Meet the expectations and requirements as mentioned in the call for a delegate
  • Write a report that will be distributed through the RCEN-IP listserv
  • Ability to speak at least two of the three official languages of the meeting (English, French and Spanish) is a plus.
