Proposed Total, Partial or Conditional Prohibition of Certain Toxic Substances Regulations

The proposed Total, Partial or Conditional Prohibition of Certain Toxic Substances Regulations were published in the Canada Gazette 1 on April 3, 2004, beginning a 60-day public comment period. Three new substances are proposed to be added to the Total Prohibition List of the Regulation: hexachlorobutadiene (HCBD), N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA), and dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT).
