Review of Canada and U.S. Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement

The Governments of Canada and the United States are developing a “process” to review the Canada-United States Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement and are seeking comments from the public.

The review of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement is an opportunity to guide shared commitments throughout the Great Lakes Basin to the Great Lakes’ continued protection and restoration.

All comments on the proposed review process are welcome; however, the Governments would particularly appreciate responses to the following two questions:
1. How should the public be involved in the review of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement?
2. What key issues should be considered during the review of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement?

A summary of public comment and the final process for the review of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement will be posted on http://www.binational.net.

Further details of the GLWQA and links to related documents can be found on GLWQA's Website or click here.

Please send your comments by March 8, 2005 to: Al Jamal,

or via fax at (416) 739-4804.
