Public Consultation on the Requirement for Comprehensive Studies of Municipal Drinking Water Projects
The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency has launched a 45-day consultation on a proposal to remove groundwater extraction projects for municipal/community drinking water from the Comprehensive Study List Regulations (CSLR). The outcome of this amendment would result in municipal/community drinking water projects no longer requiring a comprehensive study and rather being subject to a screening type environmental assessment. The Agency invites interested parties to review and provide comments by July 28, 2008.
