The working group for the SARA-CEAA Guide is inviting comments on the draft guide. Comments must be sent to Tamara Skillen-Haynesby September 8, 2005. Comments received before the deadline will be considered for incorporation prior to final approval and publication.

Guide preparation has been lead by the Canadian Wildlife Service and drafted with a working group of Environment Canada, Parks Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (representing the competent ministers under SARA), as well as the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency. Legal Services from each department and agency have reviewed the draft document on a number of occasions. 

This draft guide is being distributed to members of the interdepartmental Senior Management Committee on Environmental Assessment (SMCEA) and the multi-stakeholder Regulatory Advisory Committee (RAC), both of which advise the Agency on environmental assessment matters.  It will also be distributed to the multi-stakeholder SARA Advisory Committee which advises the competent ministers' departments on SARA matters.
