Acid Rain Task Group

The National Air Issues Coordinating Committee - Other Air Issues (NAICC-A) of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME) is establishing a multi-stakeholder/federal-provincial-territorial Acid Rain Task Group. The new Task Group will co-ordinate implementation of the Canada-Wide Acid Rain Strategy.

The membership of the new Acid Rain Task Group will comprise up to ten stakeholders. The Task Group will, in addition to the nine government members, consist of five industry members, one member from the health community, one Aboriginal or consumer group representative, and three representatives from the environmental community. The Task Group will have regular conference calls throughout the year, with one face-to-face meeting per year.
