Stakeholders Advisory Committee For The Species At Risk Act

CEN oversaw the selection of two (2) ENGO representatives for the Stakeholders Advisory Committee For The Species At Risk Act. The purpose of this committee is to provide advice to the 2 Ministers of the Species at Risk Act (SARA) on the administration of SARA. One of the ENGO representative needs to have expertise in the water and fisheries area of SARA.

The Stakeholders Advisory Committee will consist of up to a maximum of 20 representatives drawn from environmental non governmental, industry, agricultural organizations and others concerned with implementation of the Species at Risk Act. Membership will be reviewed annually. See the Advisory Committee terms of reference for more information.

Delegate Selection Results:

The CEN Forest Caucus selection committee selected Chris Blake from Quesnel River Watershed Alliance in BC and Suzanne Tank from the David Suzuki Foundation in BC as ENGO representatives for the Stakeholders Advisory Committee for SARA.
