Acid Rain Task Group - National Multi-Stakeholder Consultation
Concerning Acid Rain:
CCME is organizing a two-day national multi-stakeholder consultation
concerning acid rain and the five-year review of the Canada-Wide
Acid Rain Strategy for Post-2000.
The purpose of the workshop is to:
- Present and discuss major conclusions emerging from the 2004
Canadian Acid Deposition Science Assessment;
- Develop an understanding of the implications of the latest
science to the Canada-Wide Acid Rain Strategy for Post-2000;
- Obtain stakeholder feedback and perspectives on the five-year
review and next steps.
Representation at the consultation workshop will be multi-jurisdictional,
multi-stakeholder and will strive for appropriate representation
between federal/ provincial/territorial governments, industry
and non-profit.
