Consultation Details

Canadian Environment Network (CEN) have been invited to nominate one ENGO representative for the official Canadian Delegation for the third session of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF3) to be held in Geneva from May 26 to June 6, 2003. More information and documents are now available. The main topics of discussion at the UNFF 3 include the economic aspects of forests; forest health and productivity; and maintaining forest cover to meet present and future needs. Canadian interventions will be based on the report that was circulated for input, which is now available on the UNFF site.

All members in the Canadian delegation will be contingent upon signing a participation agreement prior to departure for UNFF3. The conditions of this agreement will be strictly enforced by the Head of delegation.

Travel, meals and accommodation will be covered for the ENGO representative as per Treasury Board Rules.
