The seventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 7) to the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal is scheduled for October 25th to 29th, 2004 in Geneva, Switzerland. Preparations for COP 7 are underway, including identifying the members of the Canadian delegation. They seek the participation of a representative of a Canadian ENGO that is involved in hazardous waste issues.

Funding is available to cover travel, food and accommodations subject to Treasury Board guidelines. Please note that participants of the Canadian delegation are required to sign a Canadian Delegation Advisor Participant Agreement which identifies responsibilities related to conduct and confidentiality.
