The Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA) is Canada's principal federal environmental protection legislation. CEPA provides for a Parliamentary review of its provisions and implementation. Environment Canada and Health Canada lead the Review of CEPA and hosted 6 public workshops to both inform Canadians about the Review and to obtain public input.

The RCEN Coordinated the public participation of environmental, health and aboriginal groups at these workshops. For more information about the workshops, click here.
