Health Canada Contaminated Sites Workshop
The RCEN selected 3 ENGO delegates to attend the Contaminated Sites Workshop, which took place on March 2, 2006 in Ottawa, Ontario. The Contaminated Sites Division had identified the need for information and resources to help the public understand the contaminated site management process specifically as it relates to human health risk assessments.
To develop these resources, Health Canada brought together a diverse group of stakeholders to the Workshop, who are interested in contributing to the design and content of these materials. The objectives of this workshop were to: confirm the need for human health risk information for laypeople; identify content needs of stakeholders; and identify the type of format to best deliver this information.
Selected ENGO Delegates:
Jim Elliott, The Gaia Group (and RCEN Health Caucus member)
Allan Taylor, Saskatchewan Eco-Network (and RCEN Health Caucus member)
Jim Mahon, Ontario Environment Network (and RCEN Toxics Caucus member)
