For thirty years, the Canadian Environmental Network (RCEN) has been facilitating networking between environmental organizations and others who share its mandate - To Protect the Earth and Promote Ecologically Sound Ways of Life. The RCEN works directly with concerned citizens and organizations striving to protect, preserve and restore the environment, and to affect how society thinks about environmental issues.

Charles L. Caccia, 1930-2008
Another well-known environmentalist passed away on May 3rd in Ottawa. Most recently a senior fellow at the University of Ottawa's Institute for the Environment, Mr. Charles Caccia spent a large part of his career working to protect the environment and to promote social justice issues. Read more...

The RCEN regretfully announces the death of founding member Martha Kostuch. Our sincerest condolences go out to her friends and family. Martha devoted her life to protecting the environment and was an inspiration to us all within the Canadian Environmental Network. Read more...
