Travel Information, Directions and Maps

Dear Conference Delegate:

Mr. David Coffey from Travelcuts will be taking care of all travel arrangements to this year’s RCEN Annual General Meeting and Conference in Montreal, October 19-22, 2006. You can also make your own arrangements if you desire, as long as you purchase the least expensive ticket available (within reason). I would, however, encourage you to contact Mr. Coffey as this ensures that you will not have to submit a travel expense claim and wait for your reimbursement.

*** IMPORTANT*** PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP ALL ORIGINALBOARDING PASSES AND RECEIPTS

I have asked Mr. Coffey to ensure that the Board of Directors, Regional Staff, and National Council members arrive by Wednesday evening October 18 th. Regarding times of departure, we ask that everyone remain until Sunday afternoon Oct. 22nd.

Conference Location

The Centre St-Pierre is located at 1212, rue Panet, in Montreal (ph: 514-524-3561) . The Centre is steps away from the Beaudry metro station (green line).

Getting there:

From the airport: There is a shuttle bus service from the airport to the Voyageur Central Station. From there take the metro to the Beaudry metro station.

From the train station : take the metro from Bonaventure station to the Beaudry metro station.

From the bus terminal (Voyageur Central Station): take the metro from the Berri station to the Beaudry metro station.

If you are driving : take Ville-Marie highway, exit Papineau, turn left at the second light, go up Papineau street, turn left on René-Lévesque. Next light (rue Panet) turn to your right. Limited parking is available at the back of the Centre-St-Pierre. Additional parking is available (see receptionist for details).

From the airport

From the Central Bus Station you need only walk approximately 500 meters to 1199 rue Berri to get to the hotel.

From the train station
Take the metro from the Bonaventure station to the Berri-UQAM station. From the Berri-UQAM metro station you need only walk approximately 500 meters to 1199 rue Berri to get to the hotel.

From the Central Bus Station (Voyageur)
From the Central Bus Station (downtown) you need only walk approximately 500 meters to 1199 rue Berri to get to the hotel.

If you are driving (from the Trans Canada highway #40 in Montreal)

• Take the Autoroute 15 S/Décarie exit (EXIT 66-S) towards Sherbrooke/Pont Champlain
• Take the Ville-Marie exit (EXIT 63-E) on the left towards downtown
• Autoroute Ville-Marie becomes Autoroute 720 E
• Take Exit 6 towards Vieux-Montreal/Vieux-Port/rue Berri
• Turn left onto rue St-Antoine E
• Turn left onto rue Berri
• End at 1199 rue Berri at the Lord Berri Hotel
